Procurence is a start-up established in 2009 by a group of experts with purchasing  and  risk management background.

As consultants, we have constantly strived to provide our clients with best-of-breed  risk management solutions - drawing both on our experience, newest industry trends  and latest research in the field. We have soon discovered that there is no software in  the market that would support the ideas and processes we wanted to implement.  Consequently, we were always forced to use Excel to implement our ideas. Yet, the  price for the ultimate flexibility were constant problems with communication and data  security, not to mention a hassle with hundreds of files. We waited and waited for the  right tools until we said: ENOUGH! Time to take the matter into our hands.

Procurence has only one aim - to provide YOU, professionals in the fields of risk  management, purchasing and supply management, with a professionally made tool that   supports you in your daily work.

What distinguishes us from other companies in the field? We are business people who  know how to make software, not IT professionals who don't have the slightest idea  about your job. We can provide you not only with a piece of software, an "empty  shell", but also with the contents and processes you need to implement to succeed in  supply risk management.

In the late spring I have talked to my colleague from the purchasing department of  one of Germany's top 30 companies. He has recently been given the responsibility  to implement supply risk management in his company and wanted to get some  idea  about the best practices in the market. He set-up meetings with well-known  IT  companies that specialise in software for purchasing departments and that  adviertise their "risk management solutions". They were obviously eager to meet  him. To his surprise however, their factual knowledge was very limited - in fact,  they were as much interested to learn about the best practices from him, as to give   him any advice!
